The journey through drought country – heading where it counts

44.9% of Queensland is in drought and despite the recent welcome rain many communities and families are struggling. Just like the 40 Series Toyota LandCruiser, these communities are tough and have stood the test of time – but they need your help.

In 2022, the drive will travel around 3,000km, mainly on backroads, heading west from the Isaac region, through the Central Highlands and Barcaldine region, then Central Western Queensland and McKinlay areas, heading slightly south through Boulia, then heading north into North Western Queensland through Cloncurry and Kynuna, and finishing in Longreach.

The majority of our travel will be through full drought declared areas; we’re heading through the regions that need our support the most. Not only are we raising money for these communities affected by natural disaster, we’re also providing economic benefits to these small towns by supporting businesses by buying local while we’re in the region, and showcases these regions to our audiences across our social media pages and through our tourism partner, Outback Queensland
